A Traditional Show for the farming Community - Thursday 5th August 2010

This Year:
The 120th Honiton Agricultural Show takes place on Thursday 5th August 2010.

The show received record livestock entries in 2009 and the visitors packed the cattle and sheep lines trying to get a glimpse of the magnificent animals being shown. Following the introduction of Alpacas last year the organisers reported a fantastic ninety four exhibits. The Grand Parade will take centre stage amongst the main ring activities where the day's prize winners will proudly parade giving the viewing public a wonderful opportunity to see the beautifully turned out exhibits.

Victor Pitts is a working sheep farmer in Devon and will bring his fantastic sheep dog, sheep and duck display to the main ring. Victor works with beautiful Border Collies showing their commitment and his pleasure of bringing traditional farming to life. Audience participation is encouraged giving the public a real taste of this fascinating profession. Again Honiton will play host the West of England Hound Show a show within a show which forms a major part of the lower field's countryside activities.
